Falling Whistles is a non-profit organization campaigning for peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Not only are these whistles stylish but the profits from these necklaces help to raise money for education, advocacy & the rehabilitation of war-affected people in Congo.
The organization got its name from a journal written by its founder, Sean Carasso, sharing his experiences during a trip to eastern Congo in 2008. During that trip, Sean met a group of former child soldiers who told him that some children who are too young to carry weapons were sent into battle armed only with whistles. By wearing these Falling Whistles, the campaign aims to use its weapon as a tool of protest & to hopefully raise awareness of the situation in Congo.
